07 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Last year, more than 350 people attended the DELMIA European Customer Conference in Stuttgart, themed “Manufacturing in Motion”.
On the first day, users shared current projects and successes with presentations from vehicle makers, engineers, aerospace and other industries.
Speeches by Bernard Charlès, President, Dassault Systèmes, Akira Namiki, Senior Staff Engineer of Production Engineering, Honda, Herbert Kircher, Managing Director of IBM Germany’s Development Laboratory and Jan-Hendrik Theilen, Manufacturing Engineer, Werkzeugbau Wolfsburg, Volkswagen AG also highlighted this annual DELMIA event.
At the end of the presentation sessions, attendees had the opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences at the round table sessions. Afterwards, delegates were invited to join the evening social event called “Musical in Motion”.
The second day was more user-oriented and focused on actual user examples. The participants took part in different workshops such as Automation, Aerospace, SAP Integration and Suppliers.
Exhibitors enriched the Customer Conference with demonstrations of software, interactive motion control mapping programmes, and an ergonomic bodysuit worn by a demonstrator to show the analysis of body movement in various assembly-type functions.
